What is the purpose for the foundation?
The foundation was organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including for the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

The foundations purposes shall be as follows:

To promote the social and economic well-being of Ravalli County generally, by providing leadership and assistance in promoting charitable philanthropy and acting as a steward of endowed charitable funds.

To establish, hold and administer charitable endowment funds.

To make discretionary and donor advised grants/scholarships/awards in furtherance of its purposes.

To engage in related activities consistent with its charitable, religious, educational and scientific purposes as an exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

To operate in affiliation with other charitably qualified organizations and community foundations, including its affiliated organizations and foundations.
